We’re thrilled to have (not Peter) Parker Elliot join the lab as a Research Assistant! A recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology, Parker brings a curiosity-driven mindset and a strong background in host-virus interactions, which he explored in the context of nickel-contaminated soils and microbial evolution.

Parker is especially interested in pushing the boundaries of phage therapy, combining phages, antibiotics, and immune-based treatments to create highly selective environments that pathogens can’t easily adapt to. When he’s not in the lab, Parker’s building models, welding, gardening, or making music. Now based near the coast, he’s planning to spend more time in the water, and may even take up diving! We’re excited to see where his creativity and curiosity lead.
